Hey guys. Ive got a 92 flareside NITE edition 31x12.50 tires getting 10 MPG it has the 5.0 freshly rebuilt bored 30 over with shorty headers all new motocraft plugs, cap and rotor with taylor wires. Now it has a weird studder or miss. seems to usually happen around idle or steady speeds under 4000 rpm the truck will choke and hickup about 2 or 3 times and then i goes back to normal and it also does it when im idling. it only does it once in a while and It runs rough and almost sounds like a missfire. But im almost positive it isnt missfire.
Now here is the fun part! The vaccume regulator that controls the opening and closing of the egr stopped working (which gave me a trouble code) So i drove the truck for about 3 weeks without replacing the regulator. Therefore the egr wasnt working for that period of time, and the truck didnt studder or anything not even once until i replaced the regulator and as soon as i did the truck started acting up again. I also replaced all the vaccume lines under the hood and the EGR and sensor was replaced right before i got the truck 6 months ago.
