I have a set of 16" Ford aluminum wheels that I want to use on my '77 3/4 ton to replace the 16.5's that came on it. They have no curb gouges or scratches but there is some corrosion where the wheel weights used to be. Has anyone had any experience removing the factory coating so they can be polished? Also, do they take special lug nuts as the holes are not tapered as they are on the steel wheels.
