hey----
i was given a 1977 f-100 that had been sitting in a pasture for 18 months, after changing spark plugs and the battery and new oil, it started up and had it running for about a week on the farm. I was going out of town and put some fuel stabilizer in the tank (i was running the truck off of the fuel that was still in the tank after sitting for a year and a half) now the truck wont start, even after 2 cans of engine starter spray in the carb, its like there is no fuel at all getting to the engine. what do youall suggest, replace the gas in the tank or is it something more, like a bad gas pump? Any suggestions would help!

i'd look to the fuel pump maybe clogged linesor it could be a spark problem. check to see if your getting fuek into the carb. then check to make sure your getting fire. if your getting fire then check the fuel system. maybe even dump that old gas and the stabilizer in it. i don't know about that stabilizer could it make the rubber in the fuel system swell? like chemdip does. get back to us on this we can help more i'm sure.

did you change the fuel filter by any chance, it could have been clogged with debris and varnish from sitting for a year and half.
