it just shuts down

We bought this 1996 Ford f-250 xlt with the 460 big block and it runs great....But four times now while driving it its like someone reaches over and shuts the key off no spuddering or anything then if i try to start it it just turns over... i leave it alone for 5 minutes it will fire right up again with no problems... then sometimes i drive it park it and go to restart it and it just turns over later it will start with one crank? any Ideas.

I would check the crank shaft positioning sensor.

sticking idle control valve

also check fuel pump relay for coroded wire
on lh side near fuse box under hood
