Hydro Boost brakes

I have an 89 F350 that I load an 11-1/2 ft camper on and tow a vehicle on a trailer behind and would like to improve stopping. I was thinking of trying to upgrade to hydroboost and would like to know when Ford started using Hydroboost on trucks and what would be the easiest most cost effective way to go about this? Thanks for any help.
