hey, my names wes and im 15, and i have a 76' Ford F-250, with an almost brand new 3.9L straight-6, Less than 8000 miles on the engine, and only 125,000 on the truck. I want to put a 302 or a 400 in it and give it a lift and some big tires, like the Super Swamper TSL's , but those are a little pricey. My dad is giving me the truck becase the front end is about to go out, and I wanted to keep it. Any ideas on where to get a front end rebuild kit? The hourly shop rate here in alaska is anywhere from 90-120 dollars, which is crazy! So Im attempting to do this myself. Any advice would be great! my e-mail is [email protected] thanks!

welcome to the "F" zone. as per your question as to which engine. I would say the 400 or better yet a 460 You will loose in gas milage but gone in H.P. and torque. for a rebuild kit go to LMC truck they may have the parts you will need. >-
