I am wanting to make my 2x4 95 f-150 4.9l 5 speed to a four wheel drive automatic. i know i need to change my steering column and patch hole in the floor and i know i will need the trans and transfer case as well as the stock front axle and drive shaft . i need to know if it is possible to convert the factory 2x4 to a factory looking 4x4 f-150. i am unsure about the radius arms and the cross member. the 4x4 models all look the same as my 2x4 does underneath minus i dont have the axles. would this be as easy as unbolting and bolting back up the components i want? or does this require major fabrication to complete? any info would be useful thanks

sure, i turned an 86 f150 2wd with the five speed and the 300 straight six into a 5.0 automatic 4wd, you just need all the parts you mentioned plus the appropriate hangers and make sure you get the front springs and spring mounts for a 4x4 or the front end will set a little lower than the factory should. also, my experience says check for severe rust on your frame and especially around the rear leaf springs and hangers, might even consider adding a leaf if everything is in good shape hope this helps
