J Justshootme84 Moderator Dec 16, 2004 #3 As an example, 39 teeth on the ring gear divided by 11 teeth on the pinion gear equals a 3.55:1 gear ratio. That is for alot of the Ford 8.8" rear axles in later Broncos. The metal ID tag should be bolted to the rear cover plate.
